The 2010-2011 school year represents a new and exciting chapter in the history of weekday preschool at First Baptist McKinney. We are excited to announce the consolidation of our two previous programs, First Learning and First Steps, into one unified weekday preschool program:
First Baptist Learning Center
(Mon-Thurs, 9:15am-2:15pm)
This consolidation of the best aspects of these two programs will provide parents and children with many new options for education in this school year.
Our program provides quality preschool education to children age one year through Kindergarten. Our early childhood program focuses on the unique learning styles of each individual child. We believe that children learn best through interactions with loving adults. Our teachers are qualified and well-trained individuals who facilitate stimulating lessons which motivate a child to develop self-direction and independent thinking skills. Our classrooms provide a warm Christian environment of approval and appreciation. Teachers plan appropriate learning activities which encompass all aspects of learning including visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning.
Our education program uses "Success for Life" curriculum, an academic curriculum developed by educators at the University of North Texas. This curriculum teaches to the specific Texas Knowledge and Skills needed in Kindergarten. Our program also uses the "Wee Learn" curriculum, which is a learning center and thematic approach to teaching preschool concepts and Christian values.
All classrooms have a scheduled snack, lunch (provided by parent), indoor/outdoor activity time and educationally sound learning centers. All children will also participate in chapel service, weekly fitness, weekly music and weekly Spanish class.

REGISTRATION FEE EQUALS ONE MONTH'S TUITION. THIS FEE IS PER CHILD. NO DISCOUNT IS GIVEN ON REGISTRATION FEES FOR MULTIPLE CHILDREN. REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND ARE DUE UPON CHILD BEING ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM.
