Matt Moreno - USPTA Pro-1
Originally from San Francisco, Ca., Matt began his Tennis Professional career in Tucson, Az., in 1980 after a successful high school and college playing career. In 1993, he was named "Arizona High School Coach of the Year" for leading St. Gregory High School Boys' team to State Champions and the Girls team to State Finalists.
Matt was the Assistant Tennis Coach for the University of Arizona Wildcats in 1990 and 1991, where "The Cats" were nationally ranked #12 and #17 respectively, playing in the top-rated PAC-10 tennis conference.
Since moving to Dallas in 1994, Matt has served as Director of Tennis at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Los Rios Country Club in Plano, and El Dorado Country Club in McKinney. Matt is currently the Head Tennis Coach for Ursuline Academy for Girls, a private high school in Dallas, where they have been named Tapps 6A State Champions for 2007. They are also the Tapps 6A 2006 State Champions as well.
Matt has been a Pro for 27yrs., has a U.S.P.T.A. Pro-1 rating and is the USPTA North Texas Tester for teaching professionals wanting to get their certification. Matt is on the Pro Staff for Oak Creek Tennis Center in Carrollton, and is on staff for Head Sports, inc.
