About Ben

Ben and Becky Gazaway come to us from the great state of Tennessee.  While performing in numerous operas and vocal ensembles, Ben earned his Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.  He has recently finished his coursework for a Master's Degree in Sacred Music from the University of Kentucky.  He specialized in choral conducting and composition/arranging.  He plays the guitar and piano and loves writing and arranging as well as working with choir and orchestra.

Ben's personal philosophy of ministry is "to encourage, to empower, to equip and to release God's saints for ministry."  He loves to worship in both traditional and contemporary styles.  He believes that the purpose of worship is to connect people with God by "incorporating all of the arts - including music, dance and drama - into our collective expression of worship."

To accomplish this, God has given Ben a truly beautiful wife and help-mate in Becky.  In addition to playing numerous instruments and singing in choirs and vocal ensembles, Becky is involved at both the Main and North campus.  She graduated from Asbury College with a degree in Physical Education and Health Education. She is active in coaching and playing sports of all kinds.  Together they enjoy playing music and golf - and, of course, cheering on their beloved Tennessee Volunteers.
