Michael grew up in Port Neches, TX and at the age of seven prayed to receive Jesus Christ into his heart.  It was during his years in the Student Ministry, however, that he was discipled by his Student Minister and grew drastically in his relationship with Christ.  It was also during this time that Michael felt a call to be in full-time Christian ministry.  Michael knows firsthand, the impact that the Student Ministry had on his life, and he now loves being on a team that reaches out to students and challenges them to grow in the relationship with Christ.  Michael served at TrinityBaptistChurch in Port Arthur, TX before coming to First Baptist McKinney in 2002.  Michael received a Bachelor of Arts in History from LamarUniversity, and later received a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  When Michael is not working with students, he enjoys being outdoors, especially fishing or duck hunting.
