Although Chris's spiritual heritage is somewhat traditional, God has prompted him to lead progressively throughout his ministry experience. Chris became a Christian as a young boy in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He attended Northeastern A&M (NEO) Junior College where he was discipled weekly via the Baptist Student Union and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministries. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with both an undergraduate degree and an MBA. While attending college, Chris led campus ministries and traveled on international missions with Campus Crusade for Christ and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He served on staff with these ministries for nine years. The love of his life is Brenna (a triplet!) Chris and Brenna enjoy the adventure of raising five Arizona-born children: Dillon, Derek, Caleb, Micah and the resident princess, Karis Joy.
Chris has been Executive Pastor of FBC McKinney since September 2004. Chris and Brenna proclaim their life purpose is "to know God intimately, to grow in our worship of God and to show His love to as many people as He guides." Chris's life experiences, educational background and spiritual journey have led him to provide leadership for this church and to exercise his passion to share Christ. His gifts of leadership and team building are utilized to maximize the Kingdom impact of FBC by guiding the church to be a missional force in the world.
